My fav. book is Alice and Wonderland Through the looking glass.I remember when Alice was in the rabit's house and she ate the candy and grew and people started throwing items at her.
I am reading a book called Thimble Summer. It is about a little girl and her life and adventures. She goes to a really big kiln in the woods where you can get wood. Someone comes up to them and is telling them about how he is a hitchhiker and has to find food n his own. He ends up coming home with them and building a great relationship. Well she gets annoyed because her brother and her were close and use to hang out a ton but now that the boy that they found in the woods came home with them the brother was spending a lot of time with him. I have been reading the ISLAND series by Gordon Korman. I have enjoyed these books I really like adventure. These are the first books I have read by Gordon Korman. Somebody told me about thes books so I decided to read them. The books are about six kids who have done bad things and go out in the ocean to learn to cooperate. While they are sailing a major storm hits and they crash on a desert island. They then have to survive on the island and then they find more people on the island and fly off the island and arrest them. At the end they become good friends. S29
The book I have just read was A Long Way From Chicago. This book was a very different book for me because I usually read about animals or things like sports that I am interested in. This book I picked was for a school thing by a certain author. This book was very good because it talked about more than one exciting story that made me want to read more. Richard Peck really gave me a good idea about what the settings looked like and how the characters felt. From, S11
Hi bloggers. One of the most recent books I've read is called The Graveyard Book. It was rated 5 stars and got the best book of the year award. It's about a boy who parents are murdered and he goes to a graveyard and he has a special ability where he can see ghosts and the ghosts teach him. What he doesn't know is that killer is still out there. I think it was a very good book. From: S8
I read a book called The Haunting an it's really scary if your under 9 I would not read it. It's about this kid and he moves into a really old house on Cherry Street and it's haunted so he has to keep his sister from being killed by a ghost.
The book I read was Room 1 it was really good book. Andrew Clements wrote it, I love his books. It was about this guy when he was in school and he had to find a mystery in Room 1. He found this note in the room. I would read it again. S19
I am reading home-run kings. and the last book I really enjoyed was schooled it was about a hippy that lives with his grandma but his grandma falls out of a tree. So he has to go to a public school. and he writes out huge checks. and makes a fool out of himself. It is a funny book and probably the best book I've read for a long time!
The latest book that I have enjoyed was Found by Margret Peterson Haddix. It is about two boys and one finds out that they are adoptied. Some person keeps trying to kidnap them. they find a list of survivers and witnesses.They call a witness and she meets with them. then they go to a adoption meeting. they put every body in to gruops and the same number of people on the surviveres list. they take them in a cave a send them in the past.... The book I'm reading is Gooesbumps Horrorland Creep from the Deep. It's about to kids that goes on vacation to their uncles. When there their they get lost in death land and have to face dead pirates. The dead pirates caption whats his leg but the kids don't know.s20

I read a book called Code Talkers. It was about the navajo indians and how they fought in World War ||. It all started when this one indian was sent off to american boarding schools. Then how he did so well that he was allowed to go to high school. Then one day when the indians were listening to the radio after school a news flash about pearl harbor was announced. They also heard that the military is looking for Navajo indians for a secret job. Ned the name of the indian the story is based on joined and the special job was being a code talker in world war ||. He went to military and learned the code and was sent off to fight and send codes. The rest of the story is about Ned in the war against and how he and other code talkers saved countless american lives.
The book that I'm reading right is called Holes. It's a book were some kid name Stanley has to dig holes because he did something wrong in his life. Many other kids have gone in this building with Stanley that has also did something bad too. Stanley has got in trouble because he stole a pair of shoes but no other boy believed. He would right to his mother every week or so. He helped some boy to read. After teaching the a boy how to read he got in trouble by the owner of that place. Also the reasons why their digging is because back then there was a beautiful lake where there digging now. So Stanley and that boy got in trouble. that kid ran away for a couple days. Stanley also ran cause he felt worried that the boy was going to die. They basically found each other by the dry lake with a boat.They both stayed away from the holes that they were digging. One of the best books I have ever read is Found. I finished it about 4 months ago. It is about 2 kids that get mysterious letters and 1 knows he is adopted and the other one figures out that he is adopted halfway into the book. Then, they figure out they traveled back in time when they were babies. S22
This book was about the mom and 2 kids that move in together with a dad and his daughter. The mom and dad buy a house thats actually a church and in the backyard is a graveyard. The kids don't like each other at first and the daughter of the dad is named Heather and when she was younger she was playing with the stove and lit the whole house on fire. It was an accident but she was scared so she hid and her mother died looking for her. Heather goes in the graveyard and finds a grave and the little girl drowned but she accidently burned down the house too. Her name was Helen and the only people that belive in her is Heather and Molly. Helen is trying to kill Heather so that she will have a friend. That will live with her forever. But Molly comes and saves her from dying in the pond. They were walking out of the pond and into the old house to get dry when they fell through the floor. Helen came down and found her mother and fathers bones and she pleaded and Helen united with her mother. Then Heather and Molly's family found them and they were a happy family and Heather finally told her dad that she burnt the house and he wasn't mad at her.Then they were all happy and Heather didn't try to ruin the family's life anymore.
I have reading Room One the mystery about a school room by Andrew Clements. I am on the tenth chapter of it. It is not my favorite book but it is fun to read. I is about a person named ted that likes to read and solve mysteries. One day, two years after his neighbors move, it was boarded up and you could not see the inside. He wants to find out what happend. s34
I just finish reading the book Bud,Not Buddy. I finished it about 2 week ago.it was a about an orphan boy who had to go to the amos family. when he got there there was another boy a little younger than he was. the author got the title of this book from the boys name. his name was Bud,Not Buddy. his mamma died when he was 6 years old. He is trying to find his dad. he went to the library to ask if somebody was there. but she said "she moved to Chicago." so he walked all the way to Chicago. then he decided to find his dad. but at the end of the book he finds his dad.He also found out that he was sleeping on his mothers bed. then Mrs. Thomas said that they would be doing a lot of traveling but he had to start school in september one of the gifts for is birthday is he got a saxophone. which he thought was pretty cool because he got to be in one of the most famous band of all times with his dad!!!s23
I just read Wait Till Helen Comes. Its about a little lonely girl thats a ghost that haunts a graveyard thats by a church, which was turned into a house. Jean and Dave, with their 3 children Michael, Molly, and Heather. Heather summoned Helen and destroyed Molly's, Michael's, and Jean's things. Until Helen brings Heather into the pond and she will be with Helen for all eternity. Then Molly comes and yanks Helen's locket and threw it in the lake. Molly brings Heather into the ruins of Helen's house. Then, they find the skeletons of Helen's parents. At least a couple of hours later Michael, Dave, and Jean come to the house and saved them. They held a funeral for Helen's parents. Helen and her parents finally get a guardian angel for them and lived happily ever after. S24
I read a book about these to twins and their old grandmother who is about 80 years old. When their family went to a hockey game there was a contest for taking a shot at a little million dollar check that is neon yellow.The shot has to be taken from the red line. Their grandmother's name is Sophie Rosenburg but the twins named Dawn and Dusk call their grandmother Oma. When their dad who has sold some t-shirts and made some big money their grandmother died and a lot of people were really sad exept for the man that had tried sign a contract with thier grandmother. So then the boy twin named Dusk had to take the shoe in a wheelchair and he missed the shot. But then a big Velvit Elvis Presely picture that their grandmother had, had his birth certificute in it that was worth 1 million dollars!!! S5
The book I read in I love to Read month is Hatchet it is by Gary Paulson. The book is really good it is about a boy that went to go see his dad at the oil fields. Also, the boys plane crashes and is stranded on a island that looks like a L. At the end of the book the boy gets rescued. S26
I am reading a book called Found. It is about a time travel plane that was filled with babies. Two boys named Chip and Jonah were trying to figure out their true identity, so they went to a meeting to find out. A guy they called JB was trying to protect them from two bad guys. At the end of the book, they got sent back to the past from where they came from on the plane. The reason they got sent back was because they got struck by the Elucidator, which was a very powerful time control device. S31
The book I just finished was called The 39 Clues: One False Note. It was one of the best books I have ever read. It's about how two kids need to find the 39 clues hidden around the world. In this book they need to find a clue hidden at Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's house. I reccomend reading the first book before reading this one.
My favorite book is Matilda by Roald Dahl. In the book Matilda is a very smart girl. She plays hilarious pranks on Mrs. Trunchbul and all of her parents!
